DELTA-10 THC: A GUIDE TO THE NEWEST CANNABINOID

DELTA-10 THC: A GUIDE TO THE NEWEST CANNABINOID

Delta 9-THC is known to be the most well known and loved cannabinoid found in the cannabis plant. Recently those who enjoy both CBD(hemp) and cannabis have enjoyed its sister compound called Delta 8-THC, which has been on the rise for a couple of years now. Delta-8 THC offers a completely legal psychoactive high, the first of its kind in cannabis research. Even more recently, researchers have discovered a new cannabinoid, similar to its sister cannabinoids, but with a lesser psychoactive effect; Delta-10 THC.

What is Delta-10 THC?

Delta-10 THC is so new in the cannabis community that it has barely hit the market yet. This cannabinoid was funny enough, found on accident. A research team in California found that when the hemp plant was exposed to a fire-retardant, it developed crystals rich in this compound. After tons of testing sent to different labs, and many researchers being stumped on this new cannabinoid, they later discovered what they were observing was in fact what we call Delta-10 THC.

Because this product is so new, there is still tons of research being done to figure out the safest and most efficient way to produce this cannabinoid into a product. What we do know about Delta-10 is that is does cause a similar high that Delta-8 and Delta-9 provides, however it is said to be more subtle and calming.

Overview of Delta-10 THC

Like Delta-8 and delta-9; Delta-10 is produced from both the hemp and the cannabis plant. This cannabinoid can be created into many different forms of consumption such as, gummies, oils, salves, vapes, and capsules. The possibilities are quite limitless with this new cannabinoid. Currently the most popular form of Delta-10 comes in a distillate form, meaning you can add into gummies or smoke it via vape, etc.

Although there is not much research done on Delta-10 THC we do know that it is quite the buzz in the cannabis community due to its sativa effects, as well as having less of a psychotropic effect than the well-known Delta-9 THC and Delta-8.

Because this product does still contain a “high” somewhat psychoactive effect, there a few things we recommend doing prior to using Delta-10 THC.

  • Consult with your doctor before using (this goes with any cannabis product)
  • Delta-10 THC is only for users aged 21 or older
  • This product has been known to have an effect on those with high blood pressure, so please consult with your physician prior to use.

Delta-10 THC, like all cannabinoids, this is a safe and effective product with no known side effects or adverse effects in anyone.
